One of the most recognized objects of the last century, and an icon of the modern movement, the Barcelona Chair exudes a simple elegance that epitomizes Mies van der Rohe's most famous maxim–“less is more.” Each Barcelona piece is a tribute to the marriage of modern design and exceptional craftsmanship.

Frame: Chrome steel hand-ground and hand-buffed to mirror finish. Upholstery straps attached with aluminium rivets.

Upholstery Straps: for the upholstery in Venezia leather or in black leather the straps are dyed to match the same cushion upholstery colour; for all other leathers the exposed parts of the straps are covered with the same cushion upholstery leather. Chair contains 17 belting support straps; stool 7.

Upholstery: 40 individual panels for the chair and 16 for the stool are cut hand-welted and hand-tufted with leather and buttons produced from a single cowhide. Cushions are variable density foam covered with polyester fiberfills to enhance comfort and upholstered with top quality leather.

The seat and the back are connected with a removable pin, the seat is secured to the structure with straps.
