Skagerak Ballare Extendable Outdoor Dining Table

Ballare Table is an attempt to break the boundaries between indoor and outdoor design. The design is elegant and carried out with a level of details you would normally find on an indoor piece of furniture. Yet the styling has somewhat an outdoor aura to it, and the materials are hardwearing while aging with grace. With its pull-out system, the table is easily extended with either one or two extensions – always being ready for unexpected guests and spontaneous parties.

Proper usage and maintenance

Proper usage and maintenance is vital for getting the most out of the valuable resources we have. Our designs are made to last for generations, but just like everything else, they need a little care to get there.

Stainless Steel

Stainless steel is a light and long-lasting material with superb strength and is easy to maintain. This makes it a perfect material for outdoor furniture as it can withstand all kinds of weather.

Cleaning

Use soapy water and wipe with a dry cloth.

Maintenance

Polish such as Gleerustol metal polish will remove tarnish which may occur with prolonged outdoor use. The varnish will also provide future protection.

Caution

When using care products for steel, be careful to avoid all contact with wood as this may damage the surface. Do not use products containing chlorine as this will also damage the surface and make it vulnerable to corrosion.

Winter storage

The product is resistant to all types of weather, all year round. However, if possible, we recommend storing the furniture in an unheated room during the winter months.

Teak

Teak is commonly found in Southeast Asia, Central and South America. Our FSC-certified teak comes from Central America, Brazil and Indonesia, while our non-certified teak comes from plantations in Southeast Asia and Trinidad; managed to sustain a renewable and reliable supply of wood.

Teak is a heavy, hard and sturdy wood type. The high content of natural oils makes it highly resistant and it is therefore a good choice for outdoor furniture.

Cleaning

Do a general cleaning when needed with a suitable wood cleaner and soft bristle brush. Rinse afterwards with water and let it dry for 24 hours. Note: Wipe off tables, benches and chairs after use with a dry cloth.

Maintenance

As the wood is untreated, the surface will patinate over time and eventually turn a beautiful silvery grey. If you wish to preserve or intensify the original honey-golden colour, use a suitable furniture oil on a regular basis. The wood is resistant to everyday wind and weather with or without treatment due to the high content of natural oils.

Indoor use

Remember to re-tighten the screws once in a while.
