The shape and structure of the Soft Pad Chair is identical to that of the Aluminium Chair. However stitched leather upholstery renders it softer and more comfortable and makes for an interesting contrast with its slim aluminium profile. Vitra grants a 30-year guarantee on all chairs of the Soft Pad Group.

The upholstery on allSoft Pad chairs has been modified and now utilises an innovative viscoelastic foam. This increases the chairs comfort whilst also ensuring the lasting resilience of the upholstery.

Backrest and seat: EA 217 with medium-high backrest. Sewn-on cushions with polyurethane foam upholstery in Leather or Premium Leather (latter version with topstitching). Side profiles and spreaders in die-cast aluminium, with a polished or chrome-plated finish or powdercoated in deep black.

Seat mechanism: adjustable backward tilt, lockable in the forward position. Continuous seat height adjustment with gas spring.

Armrests: die-cast aluminium, with a polished or chrome-plated finish or powder-coated in deep black.

Base: five-star base in die-cast aluminium, with a polished or chrome-plated finish or powder-coated in deep black. Equipped with hard castors for carpet or soft castors for hard floors. Castor covers in black for polished and black powder-coated base, with chrome-plated finish for chrome base.

Optional: without armrests upon request.
