Every eight years, Montana develops a new colour palette. This autumn see’s Montana Furniture introduce three new colours to its colour palette. Ruby, Acacia and Clay are the new shades created in collaboration with colour expert Margrethe Odgaard.
The New range of Ripple cabinets in these shades are a perfect example of how colour can add a fresh twist to a traditional design. A reinterpretation of the classic vitrine cabinet, Montana have added five display cabinets crafted with rippled glass doors to the Montana Selection series of preconfigured storage modules.
The colours are gentle with a sense of comfort and warmth whilst also being up-lifting. Colour has the power to influence our mood, emotions, and overall well-being, the three new colours blend seamlessly with the rest of the Montana colour family. They are calm and comforting colours but with a depth that makes them feel vibrant, alive and playful with the cast from sunlight and its changes throughout the day.
“The new colours are three very poetic colours that, each in their way, bring a gentle and encouraging warmth to the room. At the same time, these are colours that you want to want to spend time with; you don’t just finish sensing them.” Margrethe Odgaard.
It’s so easy to add a little bit of colour with Montana. The mini range of modules are ideal for so many storage solutions. Combining colours in a larger configuration can also be a very effective way of tying an overall scheme together.
“Surround yourself with colours you like” – Margrethe Odgaard.
The three new colours are replacing the two colours Turmeric and Caribe, but with, Montana’s ten-year colour replenishment guarantee customers of these colours still have the option to add to their purchase in the colour they have previously chosen.
Sustainability in 43 variants – Since 2007, Montana have exclusively used water-based lacquer colours, which neither smell nor contain solvents. In addition, Montana achieved the EU Ecolabel in 2019, making the company among the first furniture manufacturers in Europe. A product's entire lifecycle, from raw material extraction to production, distribution and disposal are all considered.
