Featuring a swivel base in aluminium, the AAC 121 has a slightly more formal expression than the other variants in the series. Retaining the same high backrest and generous seat that characterises the series, this design features a functional base with legs that fan out from the centre. The base is available in either polished or powder-coated black aluminium, and the shell comes in a variety of upholstery options, providing a multitude of design combinations that give this series versatility in a wide range of corporate, public, and private contexts.

The AAC 100 series is a continuation of the long-term collaboration between HAY and designer Hee Welling. Whilst retaining the fundamental idea shared by the AAC family, the 100 series is actually very different to its predecessors.

AAC 100 was developed to accommodate the changing landscape of our work environment and to meet a growing need for greater comfort in the workspace, where there has been a visible shift from traditional desk seating to more welcoming and flexible seating solutions. Inspired by the ample, sculpted curves of the About a Lounge, the AAC 100 series features a high backrest and generous seat that combines inviting aesthetics with a high level of comfort.

The AAC 100 series comprises variants with different quilting types, upholstery options, and interchangeable base types, making it a versatile and functional collection suited to a wide variety of domestic, office, and public settings.

Materials: 10 mm injection moulded polypropylene with 10% glass fibre. Full upholstered. 15 mm cut foam, 15 mm super soft cut foam and 40 mm wadding. 4 star swivel base in cast alumunium.

The AAC 121 comes with plastic feet as standard but you can purchase Felt Shoes as an additional item.
