Giovanni LevantiBorn in Palermo in 1956. In 1983 he graduated in Architecture at the University of Palermo. In 1984 he moved to Milan where he obtained a Masters in Industrial Design at the Domus Academy. From 1985 to 1990 he collaborated with Andrea Branzi. In 1991 he opened his own studio. Commissioned by Azzurra, Campsites, Cassina, Diamantini & Domeniconi, Domodinamica, Edra, Foscarini, In The Room, Marutomi, Memphis, Nagano, Pallucco, Salviati, Serafino Zani, Twergi-Alessi. His objects, projects and designs are selected for prestigious international exhibitions and are exposed in the Permanent Collection of Italian Design at the Milan Triennale, in the design collection of the Museum of Fine Arts in Montreal and in the design collection of the National Museum of Modern Art Centre Pompidou in Paris. Professor of the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Palermo; professor at the Higher Institute of Industrial Arts -ISIA- Faenza; project leader at the Domus Academy in Milan; professor at the New Academy of Fine Arts - NABA in Milan. He lives and works in Milan.
