In the 1950s, Piet Hein was asked to design a roundabout for Sergels Torg in Stockholm - a space that was neither square nor circular. His answer was the Superellipse: a geometric form that sits between the two, with none of the awkwardness of either. The shape proved so resolved, so naturally right, that it became a table. The compact B611 seats 4 people, but is equally as comfortable to sit at as a couple.

It looks stunning in the new black laminate with black ABS plastic edge - the hardwearing plastic polymer that Lego blocks are made from. The matching black lacquered legs complete the cool look.

We have paired it up with the Fritz Hansen Series 7 dining chairs in black essential leather, that is also currently on promotion. We have x2 front upholstered chairs and x2 fully upholstered chairs.

This table holds the EU Ecolabel (EU Flower) certification, meeting the highest environmental standards across its lifecycle.

Specifications

B611: L135 × W90 × H72cm - seats 4

Tabletop: 22mm laminated chipboard in Black Fenix laminate with plastic (ABS) table edge

Base: Span legs in black powder-coated steel

Certification: EU Ecolabel (EU Flower)

Part of the Fritz Hansen Table Series.
