Manufacturer: Louis Poulsen

Designer: Vilhelm Lauritzen

Louis Poulsen has relaunched the original Radiohus Pendant from the 1940s under the name of VL45 Radiohus Pendant. The Radiohus Pendant was originally created for the Radiohuset building on Frederiksberg in Copenhagen, which was designed by the architect Vilhelm Lauritzen - one of the leading proponents of modernism and functionalism. Vilhelm Lauritzen also designed all the lights for the Radiohuset building in partnership with Louis Poulsen. The Radiohus Pendant has since become a cherished design icon that is in great demand at antique markets and auctions.

The fixture provides uniform, general and diffuse illumination. The opening at the bottom of the glass produces downwards directed light. The quality of the glas sensures that the fixture is evenly lit.

Material: Shade: Mouth-blown polished white opal glass. Pendant tube: Brushed untreated brass, will patinate

175 Dimensions: Shade Diameter: 17.2cm x Height: 24.6cm

250 Dimensions: Shade Diameter: 25cm x Height: 32.8cm

370 Dimensions: Shade Diameter: 37cm x Height: 44.8cm

Please note that the brass surface is untreated. This means that the surface will change over time and develop a patina the patination process may have already begun at delivery. The surfaces will patinate in different stages before reaching the intentional dark golden colour, but before reaching this stage, the surface will have dark spots or areas, which can look like an error. This is however not the case, but fully expected. The surface will continue to patinate and gain the beautiful darker surface over time. The spots and markings will align and disappear with time.
