This chair series was originally designed for the Danish National Bank. It is often referred to as the Lily. The first model the 3108 was designed in 1968 and an armchair version - model 3208 was launched at the Danish Furniture Fair in 1970. The chair is made from laminated sliced veneer and is the result of an extremely complicated moulding process that ensures the perfect curves and the best comfort. In 2007 the 3208 was made slightly larger than the original and in 2008 it was introduced with castors and a swivel base - the 3218.
The shell is in laminated moulded veneer. Model 3108 is available in Black White and Red Lacquer. It also comes with front or full upholstery in fabric or leather. Model 3208/3218 is available in black white and red lacquer and fully upholstered in fabric or leather. The base for 3108 and 3208 is 14 mm chromed steel tubes with 4 legs and leg ferrules of black synthetic material. The swivel base for 3218 is 14 mm chromed steel tubes and 5 hard-wheel castors with aluminium caps (soft wheels also available).
