Fritz Hansen at 3 Days of Design, Copenhagen 2025

Fritz Hansen are always a brand thay can be relied upon to put on a good show and this year they had a presence at their beautiful store, as well as the beautiful Orangeriet restaurant which is right next to the Royal Gardens.

Both venues were full of their gorgeous furniture, lighting and accessories and displayed existing classics along some exciting new pieces. The main new launch was the new dining set by Michael Anastassiades. A contemporary evolution of a classic design by the design legend in his first project for Fritz Hansen.

A special version of the 3107 dining chair - the Series 7 Tailored was launched with a beautiful artisan-stitched harness leather. Available in 3 colours and just a limited number will be produced and so once sold out it will not be available.

The newly refurbished showroom now has many of the original archives on display. Fritz Hansen, unlike many other manufacturers, actually own the rights to all of their furniture, rather than just a right to manufacture them under licence. The new display is a great way to get this message across.

Fritz Hansen's ReNEW initiative to refurbish, repair and renew old furniture was highlighted and it was interesting to learn about their carbon footprint calculations and that a refurbished chair has less than half the carbon footprint of a new chair.

We also had chance to catch up with the design legend Kasper Saalto, who has some exiting new projects coming soon.

The Skagerak range of outdoor furniture was on display in their outdoor area and also at the stunning Orangeriet restaurant.

ON our last day we laughed with our contacts at Fritz Hansen over a lovely lunch at Orangeriet, as two years ago as part of their 150th anniversary we enjoyed a dinner at a Palace and Fritz Hansen also built the stunning Pavillion which was placed in the gardens of the Design Museum Copenhagen. Last year they hired the stunning Operaparken for their new product launches. On the evening we enjoyed the beautiful park and buildings - which despite being a car park for the Operahouse is an experience that you do not want to miss. This year the party was held in the outside space of their store - which quite literally is a car park! We were, however, very pleased to see packets of Pipers crisps being served up - Pipers being based about 10 minutes from our gallery and so were also a long way from home.
