Ro is the Danish word for tranquillity — and it is an accurate description. Jaime Hayon's Ro™ lounge chair has a quality that is immediately apparent when you sit in it: the elegantly curved backrest and seat wrap around you in a way that feels both enveloping and effortless. It is exceptionally comfortable and, unusually for a chair of this depth, very easy to get in and out of. The solid oak legs extend the chair's flowing profile downwards, ending in delicately rounded points that give it a lightness no four-legged base could achieve.
Paired with the JH12 footstool, the Ro becomes something more than a chair — it becomes a place to properly stop. A corner of a room that earns its keep every day.
A Considered Fabric Combination
This set features a thoughtful mix of Fritz Hansen fabrics. The JH2 chair has a Twill Weave 230 outer shell with a Canvas 244 cushion — the contrast between the two gives the chair a layered, considered quality that a single fabric cannot achieve. The JH12 footstool is upholstered in Canvas 244 to match the cushion, tying the set together. Both fabrics are robust and well-suited to everyday use.
