An atmospheric series made for all the seasons, Helios includes the essentials to create warmth and comfort outdoors–from a crackling fire to a sizzling grill.
The free-standing Helios Fire Bowl offers comforting warmth all year round—and a focal point for outdoor gatherings. Cast in iron with handle inserts that make it easy to move when not in use. A removable ash tray underneath ensures the area stays clean.
Material: Cast Iron
Dimensions: Diameter: 58cm x Height: 19cm
PLEASE NOTE THAT THE STAINLESS STEEL GRILL MUST BE BOUGHT AS AN EXTRA AND DOES NOT COME WITH THE FIREBOWL.
With appropriate use, you will be able to enjoy the product for many years to come. When new, the product is jet black, but over time it will acquire a patina and the surface will get rusty.
Cast iron
Cast iron is capable of withstanding high temperatures, but it should ideally be heated and cooled slowly. The material is susceptible to impact from hard, sharp objects. Over time, the surface of cast iron will rust if frequently exposed to humidity, e.g. if stored outdoors. This can be averted to some extent, but cannot be entirely prevented - see the section on “Maintenance”. Because of the thickness of the material, this does not immediately damage the item.
WARNING
The Firebowl must only be used in the open air - never under a canopy/porch or other unprotected wooden structures. You must also keep it a safe distance from combustible objects.
Place the brazier on a flat, fixed and noncombustible surface.
Use only ignition methods designed for this purpose. NEVER use petrol, ethyl alcohol or other explosive fluids. Due to the risk of explosion, never pour ignition fluid onto a fire or embers.
The brazier becomes very hot during use and there is a risk of burns on contact with the cast iron surface. Keep a close eye on the brazier and watch any children and animals that may be near the brazier.
Make sure the fire and embers have been extinguished before you leave or move the brazier.
Maintenance
It is possible to let the firebowl change colour naturally and only remove ashes as required. Alternatively, you can preserve the original black look for as long as possible in the following manner: After each use, use water, a brush and, if necessary, a mild detergent to clean the cast iron. Then dry the product carefully and grease the cast iron with cooking oil, for example. Let it rest for about 15 minutes and then wipe off the excess oil. Remove oil spots on the stone or concrete base using an engine cleaner, if necessary. Follow the product’s instructions. The possibility that rust could stain the surface on which the firebowl is standing should be expected. The best way to avoid rust is to store the product in dry conditions when it is not in use.
