Audo Plinth Low Table

Manufacturer: Audo Copenhagen | Designer: Norm Architects

Sculpture You Can Set Things On

The Plinth Low is a table that earns its place through material honesty and precise making. Designed by Norm Architects for Audo Copenhagen, it is built from 2cm thick marble plates, each cut and milled at 45-degree angles before being glued together in mitre joints — a process that eliminates visible fixings and lets the stone speak for itself. Excess marble from the production is reused to reinforce the corners, so nothing is wasted and the structure is as considered internally as it appears externally.

Six marble and stone finishes are available: Carrara, Nero Marquina, Grey Kendzo, Grey Galaxy, Calacatta Viola, and Kunis Breccia — a warm, artistic blend of stones with a refined, textural quality that sets it apart from the more classical options. Because each piece is cut from natural stone, no two are identical; surface tone and veining will vary from the images shown.

At 100 × 60cm and just 27cm high, the Plinth Low works as a coffee table, a display plinth, or a considered object in its own right. It sits on adjustable glides on a plywood base, keeping the marble level on any floor.
