Carl Hansen OW449 Colonial Coffee Table

Manufacturer: Carl Hansen & Søn | Designer: Ole Wanscher, 1964

The Heart of the Colonial Series

Designed by Ole Wanscher in 1964, the OW449 Colonial Coffee Table was created as a harmonious focal point for the entire Colonial Series. Wanscher’s desire to lend modern style and clever utility to classic objects is clearly communicated in the table’s understated form. The square veneer tabletop and framing design echo the precise detailing, raised corners, and geometric aesthetic found throughout the series.

The carefully considered proportions enhance contemporary settings with an elegant simplicity, making the OW449 equally at home as a standalone piece or as part of a complete Colonial arrangement.
