Manufacturer: Fritz Hansen | Designer: Arne Jacobsen, 1955

Afternoon Tea, Drinks and Everything Between

Designed by Arne Jacobsen for his own use in 1955, the AJ Trolley turns a simple everyday ritual into a considered piece of furniture. Its triangular tabletop and slender steel frame give it an unmistakable outline, while the wheels let it move from a quiet corner to the centre of a gathering.

Use it to serve afternoon tea, keep drinks close at hand or bring a flexible side table beside a sofa. The compact proportions suit spaces where a permanent table would feel intrusive, offering a useful surface that can be moved when the room needs to work differently.

Choose clear-lacquered walnut veneer for warmth and visible grain, or black coloured ash veneer for a more understated finish. Both configurations pair the timber top with brushed stainless steel, balancing the character of the wood with the precision of the frame.

Specifications

  • Dimensions: W67 × D59 × H54.7cm
  • Top: clear-lacquered walnut veneer or black coloured ash veneer
  • Frame: brushed stainless steel
