Manufacturer: Knoll | Designer: Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, 1929

Clear Glass, Precise Lines

The Barcelona Low Table brings the structure of a coffee table into view rather than concealing it. Through its square glass top, the crossed steel frame becomes part of the composition, giving the table a clear architectural presence without a solid surface closing off the space beneath it.

Designed by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, it pairs a 1.5cm-thick polished plate-glass top with a welded steel frame and legs in polished chrome. The contrast between the broad transparent surface and the slender reflective base makes it a natural companion to the Barcelona seating collection, while its simple geometry also works alongside upholstered sofas and lounge chairs from other ranges.

This listing is for the 46cm-high version, with a 100 × 100cm top. A lower 35cm version is also available; please contact us to discuss that alternative. Knoll holds the exclusive manufacturing and sales rights granted by Mies van der Rohe, and the stamped base identifies the table as an authorised original.

Specifications

  • Dimensions: W100 × D100 × H46cm
  • Frame: welded steel frame and legs in polished chrome
  • Top: clear polished plate glass, 1.5cm thick
  • Alternative height: 35cm version available on request
  • Authentication: KnollStudio logo and Ludwig Mies van der Rohe's signature stamped into the base
