    Created by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe for the Tugendhat House in Brno, the Brno chair distils a generous, welcoming armchair into a single flowing line of steel. In this flat bar version, the frame traces a smooth C-shaped curve from armrest to floor, giving the chair its distinctive silhouette and a stable stance.

    The frame is finished in polished chrome, while the seat and back are cushioned over an inner hardwood frame with variable density foam and Dymetrol seat suspension. Upholstery is available across Knoll's fabric and leather grades, and the chair can be specified with or without hand-made leather armpads.

    Equally at home in meeting rooms, offices and dining spaces, the Brno Flat Bar Chair brings a calm, architectural presence to its surroundings. Opaque plastic glides are supplied with each chair for optional on-site insertion to protect hard floors.
