    The Brno Chair in Its Original Form

    Designed by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe for the Tugendhat House in Brno, the tubular Brno chair bends a single length of steel into a fluid cantilevered frame. Unlike the later flat bar version, the tubular design has been in continuous production since its introduction, and it remains one of the most recognisable chairs of the modern movement.

    The steel frame has no visible connections between seat and frame and is available in polished or satin finish chrome. The hardwood seat and back are fully upholstered with variable density foam, in a range of fabrics and leathers.

    At home around a dining table or in an office or meeting room, the Brno Tubular Chair pairs a light, open silhouette with everyday comfort. It is also available with hand-made leather armpads; contact us for more information.
