    The Knoll MR Side Chair Rattan brings the warmth of woven rattan to Mies van der Rohe's curved tubular steel frame. Its open weave contrasts with the smooth metal, giving the seat and back a textured surface while allowing light through the chair. The cantilevered profile leaves the space beneath clear, keeping its outline light around a dining table or beside a desk.

    Designed in 1927, the MR explores how a continuous curve can replace the conventional four-legged chair. In this armless version, the rattan and frame remain the focus, with a silhouette that is as distinctive from the side as it is from the front.

    Available with a polished chrome frame or an ultra-matte finish in Onyx, White or Dark Red.
