Steam-Bent Ash and an Open Cane Seat

The PK15 armchair combines steam-bent ash with a natural French cane seat. Designed by Poul Kjærholm in 1979 as his final chair design, it uses a small number of carefully shaped elements to create a continuous relationship between the legs, arms and back.

The front-leg structure continues into the armrests and backrest, while the rear-leg structure, seat and brace complete the chair. Choose black lacquered ash for a defined outline or clear-lacquered ash to reveal the wood’s grain. Both finishes retain the natural cane seat, whose open weave contrasts with the solid wood. An optional PK15CU leather seat cushion is available separately.
