Manufacturer: Fritz Hansen | Designer: Poul Kjærholm, 1968

A Flexible Frame for Reclined Comfort

The PK20 is one of Kjærholm’s most considered pieces, a laidback easy chair that balances structural precision with genuine comfort. Designed in 1968, the low-back PK20 is part of the permanent collection at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, a recognition that speaks to its standing as one of the defining lounge chairs of the twentieth century.

The wicker version has a low back and no headrest, giving it a more open and relaxed profile than the leather version. The seat and back are crafted in untreated natural rattan wicker, carried on the same flexible matt chromed spring steel frame, a combination that brings warmth and texture to Kjærholm’s otherwise industrial rigour.

Specifications

  • Dimensions: W80 × D71 × H84cm (seat height 37cm)
  • Frame: Matt chromed spring steel
