    The Chair Born from a Bicycle

    The Wassily Lounge Chair reduces the familiar club chair to an open arrangement of tubular steel and suspended upholstery. Marcel Breuer's design replaces a solid upholstered body with clearly defined lines and planes, allowing views through the frame. The seat, back and arm supports are held within the steel structure, giving the chair its distinctive outline.

    Choose belting leather, thick cowhide leather, haired hide or natural canvas to bring a different texture to the design. Polished chrome emphasises the tubular frame, while ultra-matte painted finishes in onyx, white or dark red offer a quieter surface. Haired hide has individual markings that vary from piece to piece.
