A Sculptural Setting for Open-Air Dining

Richard Schultz's Petal Outdoor Dining Table turns a flower-inspired structure into a distinctive setting for outdoor meals. Designed in 1960 to accompany Knoll's Bertoia chairs, the top comprises eight separate petals, each carried on its own support in a composition inspired by the flower clusters of Queen Anne's lace.

Machined high-density polyurethane petals form the white top, with a powder-coated cast aluminium spider beneath. A stainless steel stem and cast aluminium base complete the central support, leaving the perimeter free of table legs. The independent petals can move as temperatures change, while the 107cm diameter and 71cm height distinguish this dining version from the lower Petal coffee table.
