Manufacturer: Knoll | Designer: Eero Saarinen, 1957

A Pedestal for Open-Air Gatherings

Eero Saarinen's single pedestal replaces the clutter of corner legs with one continuous sculptural form. A circular top brings diners around a shared centre, while the tapered stem leaves the space beneath it open. On a terrace or in the garden, the table gives outdoor dining a clear architectural focus without a visually busy base.

This outdoor version combines a white acrylic stone top with a black or white cast aluminium base. Choose a 107cm or 120cm diameter to suit the space. Acrylic stone is a solid-surface blend of aluminium hydroxide, acrylic resin and natural pigments, and is the outdoor-suitable alternative to the laminate, veneer and marble tops offered on the indoor tables.

Specifications

  • Dimensions (D107cm): D107 × H72cm
  • Dimensions (D120cm): D120 × H72cm
  • Base: heavy moulded cast aluminium with black or white Rilsan protection
  • Top: white acrylic stone, 2cm thick
  • Use: suitable for indoor and outdoor dining with the acrylic stone top
  • Shipping: tops and bases shipped in separate packages
  • Authentication: Knoll logo beneath the base; KnollStudio logo and Eero Saarinen's signature beneath the top or on the top support plate

Part of the Knoll Dining Tables and Dining Tables collections. Also available as the Saarinen Outdoor Oval Dining Table and the Saarinen Round Dining Table for indoor finishes.

  • Diameter 120cm × height 72cm
