Comfort That Commands the Room

Mikado is a chair with a serene yet commanding aura — one that impresses not through visual drama but through the quality of the experience it delivers. Upholstered on all sides, with a backrest that reclines at a gentle angle via an ingeniously simple concealed mechanism, it offers a level of comfort that belies its refined silhouette. Equally at home around a dining table, in a restaurant, or within a meeting room.

The Armchair version features the suggestion of armrests — a subtle gesture that adds presence without bulk. It can be combined seamlessly with the Mikado Side Chair, both offering a distinctive seating experience while remaining visually harmonious around the same table.

Sustainability is embedded in the design from the outset. Covers are unglued and fully removable for cleaning or replacement. Legs may be replaced individually or exchanged for a different material option — wood or recycled aluminium. The inner seat panel is aluminium with high recycled content; the backrest shell is produced from recycled post-consumer polypropylene, cleanly separable from foam padding at end of life.
