Caring for Your Kvadrat Upholstery
Kvadrat fabrics are renowned for their exceptional quality, durability, and design. Proper care will ensure your upholstered furniture maintains its beauty and performance for years to come.
Regular Maintenance
Vacuuming: Vacuum your upholstery regularly using a soft brush attachment to remove dust and prevent dirt from becoming embedded in the fabric fibres. This is the most important step in maintaining your Kvadrat upholstery.
Rotation: If possible, rotate cushions regularly to ensure even wear and fading.
Stain Removal
Act Quickly: Address spills immediately to prevent stains from setting. Blot (do not rub) liquids with a clean, absorbent cloth working from the outside of the stain inward.
Water-Based Stains: For most water-based stains, use a solution of lukewarm water with a small amount of mild, pH-neutral detergent. Apply with a clean white cloth, blotting gently. Rinse with clean water and blot dry.
Oil-Based Stains: For grease or oil-based stains, use a dry-cleaning solvent following the manufacturer's instructions. Always test in an inconspicuous area first.
Never: Do not use bleach, harsh chemicals, or abrasive cleaners on Kvadrat fabrics.

Fabric-Specific Care Codes
Kvadrat fabrics have specific care codes indicated on their labels:
- W: Clean with water-based cleaning agents
- S: Clean with solvent-based cleaning agents only
- WS: Clean with water-based or solvent-based cleaning agents
- X: Vacuum or brush only; do not use water or solvent-based cleaners

Sunlight Protection
While Kvadrat fabrics are designed for excellent lightfastness, prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can cause fading over time. Use curtains, blinds, or UV-protective window film to minimize direct sun exposure where possible.
