Leather Comfort, Wishbone Soul
Since its launch in 1950, the CH24 Wishbone Chair has been one of the most recognisable expressions of Danish Modern design, a chair defined by its continuous steam-bent top rail, characteristic Y-back, and the kind of lightness that makes it feel effortless to move and natural to sit in for hours. The CH24P is a considered evolution of that icon: the familiar silhouette, now with a soft leather seat in place of the woven cord, adding a tactile richness and a refined presence that suits both the private dining room and the professional environment.
Four carefully selected natural leather shades are available, from the silky matte Terra aniline leather, which develops a beautiful patina quickly, to the more hardwearing Loke and Thor leathers, engineered for greater resistance to everyday wear and stains. Each brings its own character to the chair while preserving the warmth and honesty of natural materials that Wegner always valued.
Craftsmanship & Finish
Each CH24P undergoes more than 100 meticulous production steps, the majority carried out by hand. The 14 individual components, cut from FSC™-certified oak or beech, are assembled, sanded, and surface finished with precision before the leather seat is fitted, completing a chair that is as considered in its making as it is in its design. Over time, the natural leather develops a beautiful patina, deepening the character of the piece with use.
