In collaboration with the Icelandic designer Gudmundur Ludvik, Carl Hansen & Son presents the Timbur Outdoor Bench, which stands out for its quality craftsmanship and minimalist aesthetic.
Timbur means ‘timber’ in Icelandic, which ties in with the aesthetic of the bench and its light yet robust look where the untreated teak becomes a focal point. Ludvik’s background as a cabinetmaker is reflected in the design of the bench, where the natural structure of the wood is an inherent part of the overall look. He has challenged the balance between simplicity and exclusivity by keeping all the details to a bare minimum. What remains is a harmonious design emanating calm and strength.
