Designed by Morten Gøttler in 1997, the MG501 Cuba Chair is a quietly brilliant piece of Scandinavian design - a careful balance of clarity of form and function that, after just a couple of decades, has become a true classic. This paper cord variant gives the MG501 an even lighter, more refined expression, pairing the solid oak frame with a tightly woven seat and back that gently follows the body’s contours.

The folding lounge chair is ideal as an extra or permanent fixture. Its light, foldable frame can be hung on a wall or placed on a floor stand for convenient storage, while the natural materials, clean paper cord and evident craftsmanship give it all the elegance of a sculpture. It beautifully embodies the concept of complex simplicity.
