Manufacturer: Knoll | Designer: Eero Saarinen, 1957

The Tulip Table, Scaled for Every Room

Eero Saarinen's Tulip collection began with a single frustration: the "slum of legs" cluttering the underside of every table and chair. His answer was the pedestal, a single sculptural base that eliminated the visual noise entirely. Introduced in 1957, the Saarinen Dining Table has remained in continuous production ever since, its circular top and tapered stem as resolved today as they were at launch.

This Quickship listing covers the Round Dining Table in white base with White Laminate top across four diameters (D91, D107, D120 and D137cm), plus Arabescato Gloss Coated Marble in D120cm. For the full range of base colours, top finishes and marble options, see the Saarinen Round Dining Table page.

Marble tops are 2cm thick and laminate tops are 3cm thick, which accounts for a 1cm difference in overall table height between configurations.
