The shape and structure of the Soft Pad Chair is identical to that of the Aluminium Chair. However, stitched leather upholstery renders it softer and more comfortable and makes for an interesting contrast with its slim aluminium profile. Vitra grants a 30-year guarantee on all chairs of the Soft Pad Group (see certificate of guarantee).

The upholstery on allSoft Pad chairs has been modified and now utilises an innovative viscoelastic foam. This increases the chairs comfort whilst also ensuring the lasting resilience of the upholstery.

The Soft Pad Chair EA 231 is equipped with an adjustable tilt mechanism and an upright seat angle adapted to desk work. Designed without castors, it does not resemble a typical task chair and its casual inviting appearance makes a perfect addition to any well-appointed home o ce.

Backrest and seat: Sewn-on cushions with polyurethane foam padding and fabric or leather covers. Side profi les and spreaders in die-cast aluminium, with a polished or chrome-plated finish or powder-coated in deep black.

Seat mechanism: Adjustable backward tilt, lockable in the forward position. Continuous seat height adjustment with gas spring.

Armrests: Die-cast aluminium, with a polished or chrome-plated fi nish or powder-coated in deep black.

Base: Four-star base in die-cast aluminium, with a polished or chrome-plated fi nish or powder-coated in deep black. Fitted with plastic glides for carpet or felt glides for hard fl oors.
