This is an original genuine Vitra piece.
In protracted experiments lasting several years Charles and Ray Eames tried out new procedures for adapting three-dimensionally moulded wooden laminate to the shape of the human body. LCW which boasts a seat and backrest made of moulded wooden laminate is now available once again with hide or leather covers - the way it was first launched on the market back in 1946.
Materials: Back/seat: moulded plywood with face veneer in ash.
Upholstery: thin foam padding, covered in lcalfskin hide (LCW Calf‘s Skin).
Base: moulded plywood with same face veneer as the back and seat. Seat and backrest attached to the base with shock mounts (bonded rubber and metal connectors).
Dimensions: Width 56cm x Depth 61cm x Height 68cm (Seat Height: 32cm)

Materials: Galvanised sheet steel, finely structured powder coating
Suitable for indoor or outdoor use.
Outdoor use: suitable for utilisation outdoors on a temporary or seasonal basis, following care instructions. After prolonged exposure to the elements, clean and store away in a dry, sheltered place to ensure lasting use and avoid any deterioration in appearance.
Note: if used frequently outdoors, the galvanised version without powder coating can acquire a a typical patina over time.
