With the Spring here and Summer approaching focus is turning to our gardens and creating comfortable and stylish outdoor retreats. On trend woven and rope garden furniture is the perfect way to bring a contemporary look to your outdoor space. Many of our brands are featuring beautiful woven designs in their collections. Here are a few that have caught our attention.
Earlier in the year Hay introduced the Cord option to the popular Palissade Collection. Retaining the same symmetrical design language as the original Palissade designed by French brothers Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec, the introduction of recycled polyester cord handwoven onto the steel frame adds a softer, more relaxed aesthetic.
Carl Hansen have just extended the Embrace range of outdoor furniture to include a versatile set of modular sofa elements featuring a hand-woven flat rope back and armrests to support soft upholstery in a range of earthy colours inspired by the Scandinavian landscape. The popular Cuba Outdoor chair also works particularly well with this collection.
We are seeing a strong focus on the the use of natural tones and materials in light neutral shades of sandy beige and off-white mixed with woods as well as curved and organic designs.
B&B Italia have just launched line extensions to Erica outdoor range designed by Antonio Citterio. The pieces for 2025 bring numerous innovations including more sustainable cushion fillings while retaining the elements that distinguish the collection originally brought to us in 2017: powder-coated die-cast aluminium frames that offer lightness and durability; polypropylene fibre interlacing, specially designed for outdoor use. The collection introduces new colours such as cream white, aquamarine green and olive bronze for the frames with its new matching interlacing colours, which are added to the already established anthracite and dove grey.

B&B Italia Canasta '13 Collection
Canasta ‘13 is a family of seats and tables that preserves the iconic design of the Canasta series while donning a new look to blend even more with the external environment. The armchairs, sofas and small tables making up the series are characterised by a light interlacing of melange polyethylene yarn which lets the light shine through.
