Poul Henningsen (1894-1967) was a highly influential Danish designer, architect, writer and cultural critic, who significantly impacted Danish thought and design. His legacy as the original master of light is an integrated part of Louis Poulsen’s heritage of creating exceptional lighting. Henningsen is best known for developing the System PH, using multiple shades to shape light and curb glare. He designed nearly 1000 lamps based on this innovative system.
