    A Grand Prix Icon in Spring Steel

    The PK22 evolved from Kjærholm’s PK25 graduation project, refined in 1956 into a split spring steel frame that improved both comfort and construction without compromising the chair’s sculptural clarity. It won the Grand Prix at the Milan Triennale in 1957, a recognition that placed Kjærholm firmly on the international stage, where he has remained ever since. Low, open, and precisely proportioned, it suits calm living spaces and quiet corners as naturally as it does more considered interiors.

    Available in canvas or a choice of leathers, the PK22 adapts to its setting without compromising its character. It works equally well as a reading chair, a reception piece, or a considered accent in a room that doesn’t need to announce itself.
