A pendant that reimagines the dome

The Skynest by Marcel Wanders Studio is a diffuse lighting pendant built from a network of luminous and dark elements. Its dome structure is formed from core shapes covered with a thin, interwoven tubular mesh made from recycled and recyclable polyester fabric — each element powered by micro-connectors and finished with a two-tone mesh. The interior face is always white to maximise light emission from each LED module.

Engineered for longevity

A built-in balancing system at the crown ensures perfect stability, while an aluminium ring at the base locks the entire network structure in place via a snap-fit. Assembled without glue — every component can be fully separated for recycling or repair. The ceiling rose is painted in the same finish as the lamp and houses integrated electronics compatible with multiple dimming protocols.
