This is an original licensed Knoll piece.
A wonderfully contemporary side table designed by Warren Platner and manufactured by Knollstudio.
Platner Side Table. In the 1960s Warren Platner transformed steel wire into a sculptural furniture collection thus creating a design icon of the modern era. The furniture's unique harmonious forms are created by welding curved vertical steel wire rods to circular frames producing a moire effect and capturing the decorative gentle graceful quality that Platner sought to achieve. All metal components are finished in a variety of finishes and various glass and coated marbled tops are available.. The collection includes a dining side and coffee table.

Materials:
Frame: Vertical steel wire rods welded to circular horinzontal and edge-framing rods. Finish in plated 18k gold, plated nickel or bronze painted.
Base: Clear plastic extrusion ring for smooth bottom surface.
Top: Bevel edged plate glass or coated marble
