The Colours That Started It All

When Verner Panton introduced the Panthella in 1971, he did so in five colours that made an immediate statement - Blue Grey, Brown, Green, Orange, and Opal Red, each on a chrome base. Bold and playful, the original Panthella was as much a sculptural object as it was a lamp. Its hemispherical shade and trumpet-shaped base work together to soften and reflect the light, giving the design its distinctive glow.

The Originals Edition, at Full Height

To mark what would have been Verner Panton's 100th birthday, Louis Poulsen reintroduced those five original colourways in the Panthella 500 Floor Lamp. Standing at 129cm, it brings sculptural presence to a living room or reading corner, its wide opal shade diffusing the light. The chrome finish gives the silhouette a crisp, polished edge against the softness of the shade above.

A floor switch built into the cord makes it easy to turn on and off without reaching for the lamp itself.
